| Rosmarinus officinalis
This aromatic, evergreen shrub / herb is attractive for its narrow, needle-like foliage of grey-green carried on vigorous upright stems. Mauve flowers appear in early summer. Well-known as a culinary herb.
Height and Spread-90cm(3 ft) in 5 years.
Position-Flourishes on all types of well-drained soil. Prefers full sun.
Planting-Water thoroughly or stand container in water for an hour before planting. Plant in hole large enough to avoid disturbing root ball. Back-fill with soil previously mixed with peat substitute and a suitable fertilizer.
Plant Care-Keep moist in first year. Trim as neccessary to maintain good shape.
