Physocarpus opulifolius Dart's Gold
R.H.S. Award of Garden Merit.
Grown mainly for its attractive golden foliage, this hardy deciduous shrub also produces cup-shaped white or pink-tinted flowers in early summer.
Height and Spread: 180cm (6 ft) in 10 years.
Position: Thrives on an open, sunny site but avoid planting in chalky soil.
Planting: Water thoroughly or stand container in water for an hour before planting. Plant in hole large enough to avoid disturbing root ball. Back-fill with soil previously mixed with peat substitute and a suitable fertilizer.
Plant care: Keep moist in first year.
Large 2 litre plant size about 16-18 inches high, may be shipped dorment or pruned depending on when you buy it.
