Wonderful foliage plant with large, lush, huge prickly leaves, and spikes of green and red flowers in summer. Ideal for the edges of streams, ponds and bog gardens. Or any wet - moist area. Will grown in clay. Great for covering up bad spots or odd corners.

These are large plants in 3 litre pots.

Works a treat with Mellianthus or Japanese rhubarb Rheum. Also try Iris and large Bamboos (but only if you have lots of space.)

Height and Spread: 240cmx360cm(8 ft x 12 ft).
Position: Requires humus-rich, permanently moist soil in sun or partial shade.

Plant care: Protect with dry mulch in winter.
